It is a fun loving, hard working group of over 50 men and women that keeps a full agenda of service and fund raising activities going throughout the year. We invite you to our Thursday noon meeting held at OT Cookhouse Banquet Room, 203 N. 10th St. in Taft, CA 661-763-1819.

The Kiwanis Club of Taft Board of directors meets the first Wednesday of the month at Paiks. This is now a dinner meeting that begins at 5:30 PM. This will begin on October 1, 2008 and will be Myron Smith’s first Board Meeting as our newly installed President.

Current News and Activities

The Taste'a My Sauce'a dinner was a big success again this year. The community was a buzz about this years spaghetti dinner and sauce contest. It was well attended and everyone enjoyed the food, music and socializing that this evening had to offer. Many contestants provided sauces and there was hardly a ladle full left at the end of this wonderful evening.

The Little League Pancake Breakfast was a success!  As always, nearly every member of the club turned out to do their shift work in the cafeteria.  Nearly 900 people came through the doors, really putting pressure on the cooks.  This is 40+ years of service to the Little League organization by the club.

Work group went to the West Kern Oil Museum recently and helped around the grounds. The pond has been restored and now has a waterfall, plants and fish.     What a good feeling to help out there.
